Burglary of Coin-Operated or Coin Collection Machines
Class A  Penal Code 30.03

A person commits an offense if, without the effective consent of the owner, he breaks or enters into any coin-operated machine, coin collection machine, or other coin-operated or coin collection receptacle, contrivance, apparatus, or equipment used for the purpose of providing lawful amusement, sales of goods, services, or other valuable things, or telecommunications with intent to obtain property or services.

* If you are afraid of the parent then at least contact the vendor and tell him everything you know so that the company can prosecute and you can participate as a witness. Too many times candy machines and public telephone are mutilated so kids can steal a few dollars out of them. If you do not protect your vendors they will not put machines in your schools. Snack and soda machines generate a great deal of revenue for an individual campus or for the school district. Remember, some of your districts have exclusive and lucrative contracts with soda companies; it is your duty to assist them in catching these criminals.
